Help measure your city.
arcroad started with one city and one car. To cover the rest of India and the world, it needs people who know their own roads.
Check a place near you
Drive or walk one crossing the map flags, with a GPS app recording, and take a few photos. About twenty minutes.
Anyone with a phoneFix the open map
Add a missing median opening, crossing or footbridge to OpenStreetMap. Every navigation app that uses it gets better.
Anyone with a computerRun a city
Run arcroad's free notebook for a city not covered yet, and send the result to be checked.

Sign-up opens when arcroad's email address goes live, very soon. It will appear here.
Safety rules for field checks
- Never use the phone while driving. A passenger records, or the phone is mounted and left alone.
- Never stop on the carriageway, or turn where it is not allowed, to "test" a gap.
- Walk only where it is safe to walk. No crossing is worth a risk.
Privacy rules
- No faces or number plates in what you send. Photos are blurred before anything is published, and raw photos stay private.
- Record the road, never a person. Nothing is ever said about a group of people, a faith or a community.
- Your name is never published unless you ask for credit.
What happens to what you send
Every check is a candidate until a second check, a photo or an official record agrees with it. Only checked places appear on the site, with the date and the number of checks. arcroad never accuses a named person or business.
