What the open map records for each city: roads, divided main roads, pedestrian crossings and footbridges, with the population living there. Download it, check it, build on it.

What these numbers are, and are not
- Counts of what OpenStreetMap records inside an approximate box around each city, with GHSL 2020 population for the same box.
- They show how well the map records a city as much as the city itself: a city with few mapped crossings may simply be under-mapped. That is where volunteers help most.
- Not an official boundary, not a measurement of the ground, and not a ranking of cities. Boxes differ in how much countryside or sea they include, so per-person figures compare poorly between cities.
- "Mapped as divided" means main roads drawn as two one-way carriageways, a proxy for a median. A footbridge drawn in several pieces counts once per piece.
- Detour figures are published only for places checked on the ground. See driven results.
