Directional estimate · not a measurement
Pick the situation closest to yours, then move the sliders. Every number is an assumption you can change.
Change any of these.
Starts at 1.75 km: the middle of arcroad's four matched city drives on 1 Nov 2026 (1.53 to 2.28 km beyond the straight line). Set it from a road you know.
The weakest input in the model. No public dataset gives this for Hyderabad.
365 for every day, about 250 for working days only.
Time is lost by everyone aboard; fuel is burned once.
Two-wheelers are about 73% of Telangana's fleet.
Real-world, not the manufacturer's claim.
Petrol, Hyderabad, 16 Oct 2026. Electricity is per kWh.
Tyres, servicing, depreciation. Set to zero to exclude.
Zero shows fuel and wear alone, the floor nobody can argue with. Indian studies span about ₹50 to ₹600 an hour; see "Whose hour counts?".
Turns distance into time. 14 km/h is about the average of arcroad's matched city drives, waits at signals and U-turn queues included.
Medians outlast governments. A corridor built now is still there in 2040.
Applied to fuel, wear and the value of time alike.
Official appraisal discounts future costs. At 0% a future rupee counts the same as today's.
Market rate. Set today's rate before quoting a dollar figure.
What a dollar buys in the US, priced in India.
No official count exists. Treat any group total as an order of magnitude, nothing finer.

Estimate from published rates, not an official split for this date.
Bands by minutes lost per travelling day: under 5 light, 5–15 moderate, 15–30 heavy, over 30 severe. The bands are this page's own yardstick, set before any figure was computed. They measure time, not how anyone feels: arcroad does not measure stress or health.
An estimated cost to people, not a "GDP loss": GDP counts what is produced, not time wasted.
How much the yearly total swings if each input alone were halved or doubled. The top bar is where to attack this model first.
Set the sliders, save as A, change them, save as B. For example: your road today, and your road with the median gap reopened.

Standard transport appraisal values travel time at wage rates. Applied here, an hour lost by a software engineer in Gachibowli is worth many times an hour lost by a construction worker in Pashamylaram, and the arithmetic then concludes the richer corridor deserves investment first. That is one way peripheral settlements end up last in the queue.
This page refuses to pick for you. Set the hourly value to zero and you see fuel and wear alone. Set it to a wage and you see the conventional appraisal figure. The gap between those two numbers is itself worth looking at.
It is not a measurement. It is arithmetic on assumptions you chose, and it is only as strong as the weakest one: crossings per day, for which no public dataset exists for this city. Treat the single-person figure as directional and any group figure as an order of magnitude.
It leaves out tolls, congestion, roadworks, crashes and health damage, and it never puts a price on injury or death. It makes no claim about anyone's competence or motives.
